"When I began acting, teachers always wanted me to either tone down or eliminate my raw talent… and to ONLY use technique. Marjorie has not only helped me to better use my raw talent, she has also taught me that using raw talent AND technique can and should coincide. While working with her, I always push it to the limit and dig deeper… always!"

MON: MADLER Technique

Monday 7:00-11:00

These classes are designed to equip the actor with a solid, specific, and dependable craft that he will use throughout his career. In introducing character work through the processes of combining Meisner and Adler techniques, which Miss Ballentine studied intensively with the late Stella Adler, the actor learns the process of working not only from the inside-out but also from the outside–in: from using one’s own internal experience and psychological point of view and beginning to apply the differences to the character’s experience and psychological point of view. The Scene Study aspect of these classes teaches the technique of intensive script interpretation and its application to the rehearsal and performance process. Classes are ongoing.

Cost
Each class is $300 per month. Monday Technique taken in conjunction with Wednesday’s Master Scene Study or Thursday’s From Script to Performance is $450/month.
If taking all three classes, cost is $650.
